Moon of Jupiter

I’m sitting here on the moon of Jupiter, staring at the large planet in front of me. The storms are slowly moving around the planet so far away. It’s hard to see. It’s cold here.

I am not lonely. I am comforted by nature itself, even though it is a nature I am not totally familiar with. I cast no shadow so I’m not sure if I am real.

People say that virtual reality is dead. I truly think it hasn’t gotten started. So few people have experienced what I’ve experienced. That makes me sad, but it also makes me optimistic. Someone just needs to make the product.

Apple has proven that the software can be good enough to make virtual reality accessible and usable. The problem is the Apple Vision Pro weighs too much. It’s not something everybody can afford and therefore it is not something that could ever possibly be accepted.

I sit here on a moon of Jupiter waiting. Waiting for the future. A future where I can live this fantasy with others. A future where I can explore realities that I don’t know or that don’t exist. A reality where I can expand beyond my physical body.

Many have given up on this dream, but I know what I’ve seen, and I know what is possible.
